The Worst Lie Ever
The worst lies ever come from fear.
I have dealt with and struggled with fear all my life. It's the most crippling, paralyzing thing someone could believe is true. Once it has you, it will take you on a dark path you don't want to go down and will bind you up in chains that you feel you cannot ever be freed from.
Fear will cause you to not press forward, but instead, it stops you in your tracks. It'll haunt you and taunt you to your core.
It comes in many shapes and forms, whether that be insecurity and fearing you aren't pretty enough, talented enough, good enough, _______ enough (you fill in the blank), etc.
In Sadie Robertson's book, Fearless she talks about her fears and what she has done to conquer them. This book is geared for anyone, I would say.
Sadie's fears are some of the craziest, off-the-wall fears you could think of, and throughout each chapter, there are several key points and key questions she encourages you to take note of, write down, and answer.
If fear is a big thing for you as well, then this book is just for you!

GNARLY, EH?
If you're looking for a book of pure authenticity, go to Amazon and order Red Woods and Whales by Phil Joel, former bassist for the Newsboys, current lead singer of the band Zealand, and the "dude with long hair and a *really* good book."
The book talks about a whale Phil stumbled upon while on a beach in northern California and compares our lives to the whale in the sense of losing the path. We miss the mark, get lost in a dying world, and feel lifeless when we don't see that there is more to life than what we see with our own human eye. The whale missed the mark, got lost, and ended up lifeless on shore.
As a redwood, we can be raised up into being alive and healthy. If you know anything about redwood trees, you know they are some of the largest and tallest trees in the world. Their lifespan goes through a lot, but they use it all for the purpose of growing strongly rooted.
Below is a link to order the book, which is just $12.25 as a paperback copy:
